Computer Rules


1.  Monitors off when the teacher is talking.
2.  Hands on top of the desk when the teacher is talking.
3.  Never do a search without the teacher's permission and guidance.
4.  Only open your own files.
5.  Any e-mail must be checked by the teacher and be research based.
6.  Never download without the teacher's permission.
7.  If a gray box comes up, raise your hand and wait for the teacher's assistance.
8.  Turn off the monitor immediately if you go to an inappropriate site.  Raise your hand and wait for the teacher.
9.  Never put CDs or disks from home in school computers.
10. Use your first name only when communicating on the Internet.
11. When helping another student, use your voice only.  It helps more than if you take over the mouse.
12. Respect your fellow classmates' feelings and opinions.
13. Respect the equipment in the room.
14. Do not use someone else's computer without permission.
15. Do not access the Control Panel or Properties program for any reason.
16. Only software given to you by your teacher may be run on the school computers.  No disks from home!
17. No water bottles or other drinks at the computer desk.
